Here in this quiz, the child is taken through series of questions that comprise of the addition of three digits, which is in contrast to the addition of two numbers. One is supposed to add the first two numbers, and then add the resulting sum to the given third number. Getting enough practice on this sort of questions from the quiz lets the child be brave enough to add numbers to any length and is yet ready to take up furthermore challenges.

How to add three numbers?

When we add three numbers, we are combining them to find their total value. For example, if we have the numbers 2, 4, and 6, we can add them together to find their total value.

To do this, we start by adding the first two numbers, 2 and 4, to get 6. Then, we add the third number, 6, to the result we just got, 6, to get a final total of 12.

Here’s another example: let’s say we have the numbers 3, 5, and 7. We can add them together to find their total value by following these steps:

  2. Add the third number, 7, to the result we just got, 8, to get a final total of 15.

We can use this same process to add any three numbers together. Just start by adding the first two numbers, and then add the third number to the result.

Remember, when we add numbers, it’s important to line them up in columns, with the units digit (the ones place) at the bottom and the hundreds digit (the hundreds place) at the top. This will help us keep track of our place value and make sure we add the numbers correctly.

For example, if we have the numbers 123, 456, and 789, we would line them up like this:

Then, we would start by adding the units digits (the ones place) together: 3 + 6 + 9 = 18. Since 8 is the tens digit and 1 is the units digit in 18, we write down the 8 and carry the 1.
